Third Space Social Area

We are delighted to have such a strong community partnership with our friends at Third Space, who provided great support and enthusiastic ideas. This year the festival's 'Third Space Social Area' was developed by a collaboration of community groups who use Third Space Café as their communities meeting space.

BlueFire Street Fest ’17 Launch

On Saturday 12th August we launched BlueFire Street Fest on Smithfield Sq., announcing our full line-up. The event was part of our collaboration with Instagrammers of Dublin & Jameson Distillery, and involved the igers of Dublin community coming together for a photowalk to discover the people & places behind Dublin 7.

CFCP at BlueFire Street Fest

We first met Centre for Creative Practices (CFCP), a multidisciplinary and intercultural arts organisation, back in 2013 before the very first BlueFire Street Fest. Five years on, as we mark our 5th edition, the opportunity to collaborate has unfolded, with CFCP bringing the ‘New Voices Series’ to BlueFire Street Fest 2017!

Local Youth Create Teenzone

BlueFire, in collaboration with Splattervan (a youth arts organisation), ran a week-long workshop with 25 teenagers from North Inner City Dublin. The programme was delivered in partnership with Splattervan, a youth arts NGO and Building Bridges, a South African based NGO fostering cohesion between black & white young South Africans.

YouthTalks is Back

The YouthTalks zone at BlueFire Street Fest is a chance to explore the powerful role young people (16 – 30) play in our city. What causes or work are young leaders engaging in? What are our challenges in today’s society as young leaders? What have we achieved and how? How can we create a more positive environment and more opportunities for young people to thrive as leaders?
